Serve Wenatchee Valley

Love Wenatchee...

One way to express our love for this valley is by praying for its needs. Below you will find five different areas of concern and focus for your prayers. They are:

Families…

Pray for the Families of Wenatchee:

Pray Proverbs 24:3, "By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasurers."

Pray Colossians 3:1, "Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands love your wives and do not be harsh with them. Children, obey your parents, as is fitting in the Lord. Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged."

Pray Psalm 127:1, "Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain."

Father, we ask YOU to build the homes according to your perfect will. Give families wisdom and understanding to cope with today’s problems. We ask that families be strengthened and that you help build healthy relationships. Help wives to submit to their husbands; husbands to love and care for their wives. Teach children to honor and obey their parents and other responsible authorities. Train fathers to not embitter their children. Bind violence and abuse from the families and release love, joy, patience and self-control.

Lifestyle Warfare:

Father, we ask that the citizens of Wenatchee will learn to live with a positive attitude toward each other, with respect - not being harsh and judgmental, but help us love each other. Teach us to be forgiving toward each other. Help us not to be bitter, but help us forgive. Cause us to want to seek you. We bind selfishness, self-pity, greed, inferiority and arrogance from our city. We loose love, concern for others, confidence and humility in us and in others. Help us to stay innocent, and help us to keep a clean heart.

The Lost…

Pray for the Lost:

Pray John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Pray 1 John 5:14, "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him."

Pray 2 Peter 3:9, "...He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."

Pray John 6:44, "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him."

Pray 2 Corinthians 4:4, "The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they can not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God."

Pray Roman 8:15, "...but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, Abba, Father."

Pray Matthew 9:38, "Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."

Father, since it is your will that the lost be saved - we ask you for the lost in Wenatchee. We ask that you draw them, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to your son Jesus that they may worship you. We bind the spirit that blinds their minds and loose your spirit of adoption. Send believers into their lives to enter into a positive relationship with them. We loose the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so they may know you better.

Missions:

Pray Matthew 9:37-38, "Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.’"

Father, we are focused on the Unreached Peoples in the 10/40 Window; we pray for the nations. We pray for those who are in darkness that your light would burst forth upon them. Let your kingdom come; let your will be done in the cities of the 10/40 Window. The harvest is plentiful and workers are few, so Father send workers into the 10/40 Window. Give them your heart, your eyes, your ears for the lost.

Churches…

Pray for our Churches, Spiritual Leaders, and Servant Ministries:

Pray 2 Chronicles 7:14-15, "...if my people, who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place."

Pray John 17:20-23, "My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and loved them even as you have loved me."

Father, we pray that churches be as one - united, so that the people of Wenatchee may believe that you sent Jesus and that you love them. Father, we pray for church and servant ministry leaders that they will walk before you in integrity and with a pure heart - always seeking your will and purpose. We ask that the fear of the Lord rest upon them.

Pray to Raise the "Water Level" of the Holy Spirit’s Activity in Our City:

Father, we pray that you would raise the "water level" of the Holy Spirit’s activity in Wenatchee. We believe you for a 10 percent increase in every life-giving church in Wenatchee. We ask that you would increase the churches’ spheres of influence allowing easy access to a personal gospel witness throughout our city. We pray that at least 3,500 people will come to Christ this year in our city and be integrated into life-giving churches. Let our city experience widespread church growth making it hard to go to hell from our city. Create the societal shifts necessary to reflect a strong gospel impact on our community.

Spiritual Leaders and Servant Ministries:

Father, we pray that our church leaders would focus on the absolutes of the scriptures. We ask for unity within the churches of Wenatchee, so in this unity the lost will know you love them. Teach us how to bridge the cultural wall so our churches can impact the moral climate of the city. Allow church leaders to respect the different interpretations of the scriptures. Let their energy be focused on expanding your kingdom, reaching the lost and focused on building individual churches through conversions. Father, give them the strategies to reach beyond the walls of the churches and into the hearts of the people of Wenatchee. Teach the leaders to love each other even when they disagree. Don’t let them become isolated in narrow thinking, but enlarge their vision to see the city the way you see the city.

Church/Sunday Schools:

Pray Proverbs 22:6, "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it."

Father, we ask you to provide teachers who love you with all their heart and who love children the way you love children. Let them be dedicated to training children in your Word. Give them creative ways to present the gospel to young developing minds in a life-giving way that allows your Word to come alive in their hearts, minds and spirits.

Businesses…

Pray for the Businesses in Wenatchee:

Pray Galatians 5:22, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."

Father, we stand in the gap for the businesses of Wenatchee. We ask that your wisdom, knowledge and understanding will be available to them as they make decisions. Father, you know what Wenatchee needs now and in the future. You know what products and services will be a blessing to people’s lives. Give businesses new ideas and innovative concepts so that they may develop newer and better goods and services.

Pray for Employers:

Pray For Those In Authority Over You and Then Trust Them:

Pray Colossians 4:1, "Masters, (employers) provide your slaves (employees) with what is right and fair, because you know that you also have a Master in heaven."

Father, we pray that employers will treat their employees with respect.

Pray for Employees:

Pray Colossians 3:22-24, "Slaves, (employees) obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it not only when their eye is on you and to win their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."

Pray 1 Timothy 6:1-2, "All who are under the yoke of slavery should consider their masters worthy of full respect, so that God’s name and our teaching may not be slandered. Those who have believing masters are not to show less respect for them because they are brothers. Instead, they are to serve them even better, because those who benefit from their service are believers, and dear to them."

Workplace Ethics:

Father, we pray for employees that they would consider their supervisors worthy of full respect, so that your name and your Word may not be slandered. Let their lives reflect your love and your righteousness. Whatever they do, let them do it unto you and not unto man.

Pray for the Media in Wenatchee:

Local Newspaper:

Local Radio Stations:

Father, we ask you to give the media in Wenatchee the fear of the Lord. We ask that they represent local issues with boldness and clarity. That your wisdom and knowledge will be revealed in every area of the media.

City Government…

Pray for Our City Government:

Pray Jeremiah 29:7, "...seek the peace and prosperity of the city ...Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper."  Father, make Wenatchee a peaceful place so it will be a safe refuge for all of us. Cause Wenatchee to be a city of safety and prosperity.

City Government Leadership:

Pray Isaiah 11:2, "The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him - the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord - and he will delight in the fear of the Lord."

Pray 1 Timothy 2:1-2 ,"I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness."

Pray Matthew 20:26-28, "...whoever wants to become great among you must be servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave - just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

We pray that our city leaders govern with a servant’s heart - knowing they represent the citizens of Wenatchee. Let honesty and integrity be the standard for every decision they make. Father, give them knowledge and understanding to know what is right and good for our city. Give them your insight to know how to serve the citizens of Wenatchee.

Father, we intercede for our school leadership. Give them creative ideas to help our children learn. Help them to make wise choices in the selection of the school curriculum, teachers and administrators. Show, teach and guide our teachers as they train our children. Let the fear of the Lord guide them as they teach in their classrooms. Give them patience and self-control, wisdom and the fear of the Lord as they interact with our children. Put a hedge of protection around our teachers and our students. Let our schools produce young men and women of God, and fill all of our teachers and administrators with wisdom and insight.

Father, we pray for our military leaders. Help them to make wise decisions. Give them supernatural discernment into every situation. Father, do not allow any information to be hidden from them that will help them make wise decisions. Open their minds to your counsel. Let them know the truth and reject the lies. Let their lives reflect honor and integrity.

Father, we pray that as citizens of Wenatchee we would live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. We bind the spirits promoting suicide and murder. We bind the spirit of hopelessness, depression and darkness that is working against the people of Wenatchee. We bind every spirit of violence that promotes assault, rape and abuse in our city. We bind the spirits of greed and discontentment that result in theft, robbery, larceny and burglary. God, cause the people of our city to hunger and thirst for you and your Word. Draw them to yourself. Release the Spirit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control into the lives of the families of Wenatchee.

Pray for Our City Government Leaders by Position and Names (if you know them):

City Leaders:
Officials:

Father, help our Judges, Magistrate and Officers of the Court to think clearly. Give them the ability to know the truth from the lies. Give them the ability to discern with the fear of the Lord every decision. Give them supernatural protection for our Police and Fire Fighters - hedge them in on all sides. Let them assess each situation quickly knowing when and how to respond to each individual circumstance. Give them favor with the people of our city.

Father, we ask for supernatural protection for our police and firefighters - hedge them in on all sides. Let them assess each situation quickly knowing when and how to respond to each individual circumstance. Give them favor with the people of our city.

Father, oversee the operations of our Social Services. Help the officials make wise decisions based on solid family values. Let them be rooted and grounded in the fear of the Lord.
