Stamp Out Hunger food drive

  • Serve Wenatchee warehouse 67 Chehalis Street Wenatchee, WA, 98801 United States (map)

Each year, Serve Wenatchee receives half of all the food collected from the National Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.  The food we receive from this food drive helps supplement the food we purchase for our Fresh Hope Market.  Last year, we received over 17,000 lbs. of food!

This year's event will take place on Saturday, May 9. We are in need of an army of volunteers for Saturday, May 9 & potentially Monday, May 11

We are looking for volunteers to help in 3 key ways.

  1. Unloading and weighing food as it arrives from the mail carriers (Saturday)

  2. Picking up food from the USPS sorting facility, hauling it back to the warehouse and weighing it (Monday)

  3. Sorting the food into boxes by categories (Saturday & Monday)

This is a physical day that will include being outside in the weather, being on your feet, and lifting heavy boxes.

We ask that all volunteers be willing to engage in physical activity and can comfortably lift 30 pounds.
